Tree Rebates

Tree Rebates

The Tree Rebate Program is something that Fort St. John decided to take part in as a community. It allows the community to encourage planting trees at their home.

This program also has many benefits aside of making the community more beautiful. The tree program helps increase property value, create cleaner air and increase energy savings.

By filling out a Tree Rebate Form citizens of Fort St. John will be given the money back for their purchase of a tree. However, not everyone is taking full opportunity of this program.

For instance, the city’s community development coordinator just announced how there have only been 250 trees bought that come to a total that is under $11,000.

However, the city has budgeted $16,250 of funding for the program.

Therefore, there are a lot more trees that can be purchased.

The process is also really simple.

  1. All you have to do is purchase a tree or a shrub that has a 1, 2, or 3 zone tag attached to it.
  2. Fill out a rebate form that you can find online.
  3. Make sure you keep the original receipt and the tree tag that has the labeled zones
  4. Receive up to $50.00 rebate on your City of Fort St. John homeowner utility account.

The Tree Rebate program is soon coming to an end on July 31st, 2015. So make sure you purchase your tree quickly and submit the form to get the full benefits from this program.
