Top 10 Reasons To Live In Fort St. John

Top 10 Reasons To Live In Fort St. John

With the year coming to the end, it is that time for a Top 10 list.

Some of you may know a little bit about this beautiful northern city in British Columbia, Canada but you most likely don’t know why many people live in the city.

With a population of just over 20,000 people it leads a lot of people to believe that the city doesn’t have much to offer. This however, couldn’t be farther from the truth.

Here are a few great reasons (in no particular order) why you would want to live in Fort St. John:

  1. Wildlife
  2. Warm Summers
  3. Safe Community
  4. Friendly People
  5. Great Career Opportunities
  6. Northern Lights
  7. Awesome Outdoor Activities
  8. No traffic jams or long waits
  9. Community Events
  10. Beautiful Scenery

To expand a bit on some of these points, the great career opportunities come from the oil and gas industry along with the newly approved Site C dam project by BC Hydro.

With a population of only 20,000, as you would suspect, there aren’t any traffic jams or long waits.

The peace river and Northern Lights are very beautiful.  The wildlife includes elk, deer, moose, and bears. There is a lot of great recreational activities such as hiking, fishing, cross country skiing, and bird watching.

The community is tight knit, close and very friendly. If you are new in town, the people in Fort St. John are always willing to help out and point you in the right direction.

There are always great community events that happen annually each year that include ice skating, charity drives, and exercise challenges. Everyone gets involved and has a great time.

Hopefully everyone has had a great year and will have an even better one in 2015!

Come visit Fort St. John soon to see what great career opportunities are available and to learn about the fantastic investment  options in the growing real estate market.
