Jamie Herrington Of Fort St. John Is Announced World Champion

MMA is mixed martial arts; it is a “full-contact combat sport that allows the use of both striking and grappling techniques from a variety of other combat sports and martial arts.

Recently, Jamie Herrington a small town girl from Fort St. John has been announced as a World Champion for Mixed Martial Arts that took place in Vegas.

She received a gold medal at a fight in Las Vegas at the World Championship of Amateur Mixed Martial Arts.

Jamie Herrington beats her competitor Sinead Kavanagh of Ireland.

Jamie was one of the two fighters that were from Fort St. John at the event in Las Vegas.

Everyone is excited to see where her amateur career will take her.

Dylan Lielke also from Fort St. John participated in the World Champion for Mixed Martial Arts in Vegas.

Dylan won his first fight with a South African fighter but, unfortunately, lost his second fight; therefore, Dylan was knocked out of the competition.

The city of Fort St. John is proud of the both of them for how far they have come and looks forward to seeing what other exciting things that they will accomplish in the future.
